   There is nothing in the whole world to be compared to it! This is how a
famous historian described the Karnak complex of temples. This is
because of its immense size and rich glorious history. In fact, many
travel packages in Egypt include visits to the Karnak Temple.
   Established as early as the ruling period of the Middle Kingdom, more
than 4000 years ago, the construction of the Karnak Temple continued
over the course of 2000 years. All the kings of Egypt wanted their names
to be added to the list of contributors in the complex.
   Today, travelers enjoying their vacations in Egypt should never miss the
most marvelous features of the temple. These include the startling
hypostyle hall of Ramses II, the Avenue of Sphinxes that used to link the
temple with the Luxor Temple, the scared lake, and the popular scarab
statue.

The Nicolaus Copernicus House in Poland

   Among the historical sites tourists who spend their vacations in Poland
are keen to visit is the house of Nicolaus Copernicus, an astronomer who
was accredited for creating the real theory of the universe during the
15th century.
   Copernicus is the first scientists who was also able to was able to proof
to the world that earth is factually not the center of the universe. His
house was transformed into a museum afterwards which demonstrates
the life of the famous astronomer and the era between the 15 th and 16 th
centuries.
   The most interesting displays of the museum include a scale model of
city of Torun more than 500 years ago. This model is automatically
operated with sound and lights offering guests a distinctive experience.

The Temple of Hatshepsut in Egypt

   Featured with its distinctive layout and location at the foot of one of the
greatest mountains of the West Bank of Luxor, a visit to the mortuary
temple of Queen Hatshepsut is commonly included in many travel
packages to Egypt.
   Established around 4000 years ago, the Temple of Hatshepsut was
founded on the ruins of an older mortuary temple. The complex has
many marvelous features including the magnificent chapel of Hathour
and the chapel of Anubis.
   With its design and layout featured with its terraces, one after the other,
tourists who spend their vacations in Egypt should never miss the chance
to view and admire the various statues of the Queen disguised as a
Pharaoh.

The Rumeli Fortress

   Located in Istanbul, the Rumeli Fortress is one of the distinctive
historical sites included in several tours to Turkey. It was established by
Sultan Mohamed El Fateh around the middle of the 15 th century and he
utilized it as a stronghold for all his conquests especially that of
Constantinople.
   Among the amazing facts about this impressive fortress is that although
it was only built during 4 months. This is despite the fact that its walls
are 82 meters of height. Today, it is among the highlights commonly
visited by many tourists who travel to Turkey.
   When the Ottomans took control of Constantinople, the fortress was
used as a jail and an important checkpoint. Unfortunately, the Rumeli
Fortress witnessed large destructions. However, it remained as a
significant Ottoman military establishment until the 19 th century. Today,
it was transformed into a museum that welcomes many tourists enjoying
their vacations in Turkey.

Castle of Azraq in Jordan

   Situated around 100 kilometers to the East of Amman, the Azraq Castle
was originally established as Roman stronghold. However, it was largely
rebuilt and renovated by the Mamluks during the 13th century. Many
travel packages to Jordon include a visit to this ancient castle.
   The Azraq Castle hosts the only source of fresh water in the desert
surrounding it. This is why it gathers many birds from all over the
region. This is why it would a marvelous destination for an afternoon
visit.
   The castle now consists of a huge rectangle shaped structure that is 80
meters’ length and 72 meters’ width. It was constructed out of black
basalt rocks and consisted of three floors, but only two of them
remained. The castle hosts several monitoring towers, a mosque, horses’
stables, and a prison.

The Bou Inania Madrassa in Fes

   Fes would be an amazing destination for those who are
fond of Islamic monuments. The city quite a diversified
group of various Islamic establishments. There is also for
example Al Atarein Mosque that is located to the North of
Al Qarawien Mosque.
   One of the most elegant historical attractions in Fes is the
Bou Inania Madrassa that was constructed in around the
middle of the 14 th century. It was established by Abou El
Inan Al Mariny who belonged to the Marinid dynasty.
The mosque and Madrasa, or Islamic teachings’ schools
are the best examples of the architecture of that period of
time. The mosque is featured with its rectangle shape. It
consists of a Sahn, or an open courtyard, a mosque, two
studying and teaching halls, rooms for the students, and a
wonderful minaret as well.

The Bosporus Bridge in Turkey

   Bridges play a major role in the peoples’ lives. For centuries, they have
been utilized to facilitate passages between one place to another.
Istanbul, the Turkish capital, hosts one of the most remarkable bridges in
Europe. The Bosporus Bridge grabs the attention of many travelers who
tour Turkey.
   Linking the European section of Istanbul to the Asian section, the
Bosporus was constructed in 1973 and it is considered the largest
suspension bridge outside America.
   With the length of more than 1 and a half kilometers and the width of
around 33 meters, the Bosporus Bridge is quite impressive. Since its
construction and up till today, it played a vital role in transportation in
the charming city of Istanbul.
