The Kasbah of the city of Agadir is a historical fortress that is located over a hill that is around 240 meters high. The Kasbah was built by the found of the Saadis Dynasty in Morocco, Sultan Mohamed El Sheikh around the middle of the 16 th century.
The objective behind constructing Kasbahs in Morocco was mainly to protect various cities against the attacks of the Europeans from the North and the Berbers from the deserts. The Kasbah of Agadir is not an exception.
Unfortunately, the Kasbah of Agadir was largely damaged during an earthquake in 1960. Unluckily, only the walls and some other structures remained. However, the Kasbah would be an amazing place to spend the sunset and enjoying your time.
