The Easter Vacation in Egypt

Egyptians in fact have been celebrating the Easter Holiday since ancient times. For more than 4000 years, since the Pharaonic civilization, Egyptians have the habit of welcoming the spring season.

The celebrations of the Easter holiday in Egypt began around the 27 th century BC. The habits of the Egyptians during Easter haven’t changed a lot through the course of this long period of time.

Egyptians usually go out to enjoy picnicking in gardens and parks. It is quite common as well to have salted fish for lunch. Children would color eggs and then eat it. Actually the weather in Egypt is marvelous during Easter, which encourages many tourists to spend their Easter holiday in
the country.
