The House of Wonders in Zanzibar

Zanzibar is one of the most remarkable islands in the whole
world. Famous for its marvelous beaches that grab the attention
of numerous tourists to spend their holidays in Tanzania,
Zanzibar also hots some wonderful historical buildings.
The House of Wonders, situated in the oldest section of
Zanzibar, the Stone Town, is one of the distinctive places to
explore in the island. The building was established around the
end of the 19 th century, in 1883.

The National Museum of Zanzibar illustrates the history and
heritage of Zanzibar throughout time. There are also many
displays from the Swahili tribes and many civilizations that
flourished in the island and the Indian ocean. The large doors of
the museum are said to be biggest in the whole region of Eastern

The Fortress of Europe in Istanbul

Commonly missed by many tourists who visit Turkey, the Fortress of
Europe is a remarkable historical site. Established at the middle of the
15 th century, Sultan Mohamed Al Fateh, or the conqueror constructed it
when the Ottomans took control of Turkey at the time.

Situated on the West Banks of Bosporus, the Fortress was founded to
guard the European part of the city, while the Fortress of Asia, located
on the East Bank protected the Eastern part. Today, the Fortress of

The Historical Monastery of Saint Antony in Egypt

Copts, in the ancient Greek language is actually derived from a word
that means Egyptian. It was during the 1 st century AD, when Saint Mark,
one of the Apostles, came to spread Christianity in Egypt. Since that
time, and until today, the Egyptian Copts had many remarkable
establishments that still grab the attention of tourists who travel to
Egypt.

The Monastery of St. Antony was the first to be established in Egypt.
Situated inside the Eastern Desert of Egypt, the Monastery of Saint
Antony is located around 100 kilometers to the South West of Al Ain El
Sokhna and around 200 kilometers to the North East of Cairo.
The monastery was founded by Saint Antony who lived in that exact
location all by himself when he became an orphan before he was 16
years old. Several followers of Saint Antony continued operating it until
today. Famous for its wonderful 13 th century original motifs and
ornaments, a visit to the monastery is a must for anyone interested in the
distinctive Coptic monuments of Egypt.

Almoravids Dome in Marrakesh

several monuments. The oldest among them is the Almoravids Dome in
Marrakesh. Established by Sultan Ali ibn Yusuf, the Almoravids Dome
was constructed around the middle of the 12 th dynasty.

Marrakesh, the Almoravids Dome has its own type of magic featured

stone decorations which they excelled to carry out. Their dome in

The Red Fort in Delhi

The Underground City of Kaymakli in Turkey

The Underground City of Kaymakli is perhaps one of the largest underground establishments located in Cappadocia in the region of Anatolia in Turkey. Many tourists who spend their vacations in Turkey
are usually keen to explore Cappadocia and its marvelous historical and natural sites.

Included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Underground city of Kaymakli was founded more than 5000 years ago during the 30 th century BC in what is named the sanctuary of Kaymakli.
The main reason why this marvelous big city was founded under the ground is because of the volcanic nature of the area. The inhabitants built these cities to resort to in cases of emergencies. They also dig tunnels to connect each city with the other in a fascinating unparalleled
phenomenon.

The Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is one of the distinctive monuments of Luxor in Egypt. Situated in the West Bank, or the City of the Dead, as the ancient Egyptians called it, the valley hosts the tombs of kings from the 18 th till the 2oth dynasties.

There are 62 tombs which were discovered in the Valley of the Kings until today. They are all featured with their marvelous decorations and bright colors as if they were dig a few days ago. The first King to be buried in the Valley of the Kings was Tuthmosis I in around 1500 BC and then in a long period of history to come, more than 60 other tombs were dug in the Valley of the Kings.

The most remarkable tombs in the Valley of the Kings include the tombs of the famous young King Tut Ankh Amun. This is the only tomb which was intact when discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 as the most important archeological discovery of the century. The Church of Saint Peter in Antakya

Dar Al Makahzen in Fes



Among the distinctive features of Morocco is that every imperial city

the royal family.

The city of Lucca in Italy
