Blue Lagoon in Iceland

The Blue Lagoon is in fact one of the most interesting places to explore while spending a holiday in Iceland. Situated near Grindavík, the Blue Lagoon is popular for its geothermal spa.

Can you imagine enjoying a warm, or perhaps let us say hot bath in the middle of the lands of the ice. This is because the temperature of water inside the Blue Lagoon is usually from 37 to 39 °C. This makes the Blue Lagoon one of the most amazing sites in Iceland. The water also contains some salts and minerals.

Another interesting fact is that the Blue Lagoon is not naturally created. It is the water that comes from the nearby power plant, passing through many various areas, that result in this warm lagoon. Exploring the Blue Lagoon is a must for any traveler spending his vacation in Iceland.
